It presently has the highest Mhz rating (up to 450Mhz), but it's benchmark speed is half of AMD 400 Mhz. Yet the Pentium II 450Mhz Processor costs more than double. | ||||||||||||||||

The Pentium III Processor is claiming that it makes the Internet faster, and offers 450-500Mhz. It has not yet been relesed but it's estimated cost is around $2000.00. I personly don't think it will be much better than the Pentium II. | Intel Pentium III Processor | ||||||||||||||||

This is the AMD Processor. It offers speeds up to 450Mhz, but it has a Benchmark speed that ismuc more than double that of a Pentium II 450Mhz. A AMD 400Mhz cost $203. If I had to choose between the two I would definately choose the AMD Prcessor. AMD is even testing it's new 1 Gigahertz processor, which will be avalable in the of 2000. | ||||||||||||||||
